Artist's Statement
"Although I live in Cardiff city, I draw my inspiration from the natural world and especially enjoy painting and drawing plants, insects and sea life.
In my 20's, I achieved a B.A. in Graphic Design at St. Martins School of Art and have been drawing and sketching ever since. Three years ago, I began the Distance Learning Diploma Course run by the Society of Botanical Artists. I found it both challenging and very rewarding and “graduated” in spring 2009, earning a Diploma with Merit.
Most of my recent work is watercolour on hot pressed paper in the traditional style favoured by botanical artists, but I also enjoy painting on cold pressed paper, and drawing in both black and coloured pencil."
