| “I’ve always thought that watercolour painting is the most exciting, magical and unpredictable of all media. The moment the brush touches the paper, a ‘conversation’ begins between the subject, the colours on the paper and me. Each time I paint, I learn something new. My paintings evolve as I explore avenues I hadn’t expected to travel down. I’ve been fortunate to meet a few special people who helped me to be more adventurous in technique and approach, starting at the Torpedo Factory Art School in Washington D.C. 20 years ago. The secret is firstly, allowing the paint to continue the creative process, and secondly, knowing when to stop.” | ||||||||||||||
