Gallery Two - Michael Thompson

"I was born and educated in London, where I trained as a photographer after leaving school. Later, I progressed into the computer graphics field.

When I moved to the Isle of Man with my young family in the 80’s, I returned to photography, building a thriving business catering to the business community of the Island. I’ve worked extensively for the Isle of Man Tourism Department and have published eight hardback books of photographs revealing the many aspects of the Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

I hope my work shows my attention to detail and eye for composition. However, all the planning I can put into a shoot is no substitute for the great, unexpected shots that I see and instinctively capture."
