Artist's Statement
“I want my pictures to touch people personally. In figurative art, realism is not enough; you must eliminate the inessential. What you take away or add is what creates a work of art. I strive to capture the innate grace of the female form, and hope my art will be enjoyed as works of beauty.
“ While I use a variety of media, soft, flowing lines always emerge. My main influence is Degas, but I’m also inspired by great masters such as Schiele and Rembrandt and by modern British artists including Shaun Ferguson and Jenny Saville. I exhibit in five U.K. galleries: Runnymede Gallery (Windsor); Gallery Off The Wall (Cardiff); Passion Art (Bournemouth); Foss Fine Art (London) and View Art Gallery (Bristol).”
