Step 2: Mastering

We work closely with our creative customers to achieve the results they want. So if you have demanding requirements, we’re happy to spend whatever time you need. Our objective is to create a definitive, permanent digital record of your original work (or, failing that, of your photo transparency, print or negative) from which all future giclée prints – including cards – will be made.

Mastering has four stages: a) high resolution scanning; b) digital corrections/restoration;
c) making test prints; & d) storing/reproducing the master file in various formats, and providing you with these on a CD or DVD. The mastering fee you pay Salt of the Earth includes all of the above - plus a few freebies!
