Photographer's Statement
"I am particularly drawn to plants and flowers as subjects for my photography. I love the diversity of form, texture and colour, and the intricate detail of their ‘inner landscapes’ when viewed close up.
I don’t aim to produce ‘record’ shots, but instead try to capture an aspect of the plant that particularly attracts me, or is brought out by the light falling on it at the time. This may be its structural lines, the vibrancy or subtlety of its colouring, the complexity or fragility of its petals…and I hope the viewer can enjoy what I saw too. Nature is a great and varied designer!”
